Durrell young tortoise trail

EYECAN are taking part in the Durrell young tortoise trail. We’re proud to support this initiative that helps protect and conserve endangered species, like the ploughshare tortoise, and raise awareness about the importance of biodiversity.

Follow the trail and discover stunning tortoise sculptures, each designed by talented local artists, and learn more about the conservation work being done by Durrell and it’s partners.
Image shows our art club members getting the tortoise ready, there are two EYECAN volunteers standing behind the tortoise and two art club members painting the bottom of the tortoise sculpture. The tortoise has a big red and white eye painted on the bottom of it's shell.
