Charity Voucher Scheme

EYECAN, believes all children should be able to develop their abilities and interests without experiencing the frustrations of poor sight.

Early detection provides the best opportunity to correct sight problems.

From 26th June 2023, EYECAN is providing vouchers to all Island children under the age of 12 to cover up to £150 towards the cost of prescription spectacles.

Just write your child’s date of birth and JY number on the voucher before ordering spectacles.

Then present it to an optician participating in the EYECAN Children’s Spectacles Voucher Scheme.

VOUCHER SCHEME TERMS & CONDITIONS

The EYECAN Children’s Spectacles Voucher Scheme (‘The Scheme’) is available to all children under 12 years of age, resident in Jersey and holding a JY identification number. The child must be less than 12 on the date of the sight test to determine the requirements of the new spectacles. Each child is entitled to benefit from the Scheme once only in any 12 month period. Scheme vouchers can be redeemed against the cost of prescription spectacles issued at Participating Opticians only. The list of Participating Opticians can be found on the EYECAN website. Neither the Scheme nor EYECAN endorses the products and services provided by the Participating Optician selected.

Scheme vouchers can be redeemed up to a value of £150 or the cost of the prescription spectacles, whichever is the lower. Any additional costs must be met by the applicant. It should be noted that vouchers cannot be redeemed against the cost of optical tests, sunglasses or other products.Scheme vouchers will only be valid if signed by a parent or legal guardian and when the child’s date of birth and JY number have been entered.

EYECAN reserves the right to reject a voucher or to withdraw from the Scheme.The information contained within the application will be held by EYECAN in accordance with the Privacy Policy contained within the EYECAN website.

These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the law of Jersey and you hereby submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Jersey courts.
