Services available to support your wellbeing and help you cope with sight loss.
EYECAN can assist and support you in many ways, we can signpost and refer you to many useful services. The following is a brief snapshot of the further assistance available to you:
Emotional support:
EYECAN recognises that there is often an emotional impact to sight loss, and support may be needed to help you cope with this. You will find EYECAN staff very understanding and may also find it beneficial to chat with other people who are experiencing sight loss.
If your low mood is not lifting and it’s affecting your daily life it would be a good idea to talk to your GP about how you feel.
EYECAN can refer you to organisations that can provide you with additional support, however you may prefer to contact these services directly.
