EYECAN, Jersey’s only charity dedicated to supporting Islanders with sight impairment, is looking for a passionate and proactive Events, Marketing and Outreach Officer to join our close-knit team.
This is a unique opportunity to play a key role in shaping how EYECAN connects with the community. From managing events and creating engaging content to supporting outreach and marketing efforts, you’ll be at the heart of our mission to empower people with sight loss.
What you’ll do:
- Lead the planning and delivery of EYECAN-led events, both in-house and in the community.
- Create and manage content for our website, social media, newsletters, and press releases.
- Collaborate with third-party marketing partners and support the development of promotional materials.
- Work closely with the Activities and Volunteers Coordinator to provide resilience and support for social activities.
- Represent EYECAN at community events, helping to raise awareness and build strong relationships.
What we’re looking for:
- A confident communicator with strong written and verbal skills.
- Experience in marketing, events, or administration (desirable).
- A team player who’s also comfortable working independently and using their initiative.
- Strong IT skills, especially in Microsoft Office 365. Experience with Canva, WordPress, and Meta Business Suite is a plus.
- Someone who is friendly, empathetic, and committed to making a difference.
Working hours:
30 hours per week, with flexibility around the needs of the service. Some evening and weekend work will be required.
