Recently Lucy and Chris from the Community Team visited Sight Village London. Sight Village is an exhibition that offers us an opportunity to find out at first hand the latest technology, products and support services for people with a sight loss.
This was also an opportunity to catch up with all our suppliers including the RNIB, Humanware and Optelec.
The team were pleased to see new USB players available for talking books, learn more about how AI is helping in apps and experience different sight loss conditions via a virtual reality headset. The Empatheyes VR headset allows the user to experience up to 70 different eye conditions in a life like setting. This is a great tool to educate people on what sight loss can be like.
