Celebrating Inspirational Leadership: EYECAN CEO Mark Coxshall Wins Pride of Jersey Award

We are thrilled to announce that EYECAN’s CEO, Mark Coxshall, has been named Inspirational Leader of the Year at the 2025 Pride of Jersey Awards.

This prestigious recognition, voted for by the public and presented at the Royal Jersey Showground, honours individuals who lead with vision, compassion, and a deep commitment to community. Mark was described by nominators as “not just a leader, but a mentor, a motivator and a true champion for positive change” — a sentiment that resonates deeply with all of us at EYECAN.

Mark’s leadership has been instrumental in shaping EYECAN’s mission to support islanders with sight loss. Under his guidance, the charity has grown in reach, inclusivity, and impact — from expanding services and outreach to fostering a culture of empowerment and dignity for those we serve.

This award comes at a particularly meaningful time, as EYECAN celebrates 10 years since its rebranding from the Jersey Blind Society. Mark has been at the heart of this transformation, steering the organisation with integrity and purpose.

We extend our heartfelt thanks to the Pride of Jersey organisers, especially the Jersey Evening Post and All Island Media, for creating a platform that celebrates the very best of our community. We also thank the event sponsors, whose generosity makes these awards possible, and the public, whose votes reflect the trust and admiration Mark has earned.

Mark shares this honour with the entire EYECAN team, whose dedication and passion make our work possible every day. He also wishes to acknowledge the other finalists and winners across all categories — each one a beacon of inspiration in their own right.

Congratulations, Mark. Your leadership continues to inspire us all.
